(a) To undertake poverty alleviation projects, to attain food security, to create job opportunities for unemployed by promoting entrepreneurship.

(b) To promote and propagate alcohol and drug addiction prevention, to organize and facilitate blood donation camps and relief works, to promote and Aids control Mission, Literacy campaign, poverty alleviation, pollution control and environment and wild life protection, sarvasikhya Abhijana, Health for all/health mission, protection against dowry system, social injustice, untouchability, crime, juvenile delinquencies, women trafficking, child labour, women empowerment, traffic safety, immunization campaign, leprosy relief mission etc.

(c) To implement various programmes on road safety, cottage industry, drinking water, hygiene and sanitation.

(d) Human Rights: To protect and safeguard the basic human rights of SC, ST, Minority, Dalits, refugees and other weaker destitute, vulnerable and suffering sections of society and to provide them justice as prescribed by Constitution of India.
